Introduction to Meditation

This is a course for complete beginners that starts right at the beginning. You may have heard of meditation, but have absolutely no idea how much you'll enjoy it, or perhaps even how to begin to meditate. Meditation changes you. On a basic level your brain waves move from active beta state to a more relaxed alpha or theta state. It sounds lovely but what on earth does it mean? And more importantly, what does it feel like? The only way to find out is to meditate yourself. In ten weeks we'll practice and explore ten different types of meditation using all of your senses, together with people who are just beginning their practice, just like you. Meditation is a natural, familiar, relaxed state, so althought I say 'beginners', you will have meditated already at some point in your life.
