What happens in class?

Rather than a rigid plan, the class flows with the babies. There's fun at yoga playtime - using gentle stretches, flowing moves and massage to keep active and involved. They'll build strength, flexibility, and learn with you, how to relax.

At the same time, mum's postures will help you to calm, strengthen, tone and release tension. In particular postnatal yoga helps to heal your body from within, knitting the core muscles gently back together, toning the pelvic floor as well as helping you to build your own reserves of physical and inner strength. There will be releases for aching overworked shoulder muscles and easy-to-remember breathing techniques for you to take home to help you to relax. Most postures are sitting, kneeling or on all fours and I have lots of pillows, blocks and blankets to make them comfortable.

To round off the class we'll spend some time resting - finding space for you both to relax - whether that's lying, sitting, standing or walking.
